Hints for keeping kids safe in the sun

• Use sun lotion and lots of it. Read and follow the instructions.
• Everyone should wear a hat
• Keep liquid levels up
• Keep tiny babies indoors in the cool shade is possible
• Don't cover them with blankets - they will get really hot!
• Use shade tents on the beach
• Don't be outside between 12-2 - this is when the sun is at it's hottest and if you can avoid it between 11-3 as it can be baking hot with little chance of shade.
• Do not let kids fall asleep in the sun - put them in the shade
• Re-apply sunlotions after they've been in water. It might say its waterproof but some will have come off.
