Buying summer toys for your kids - hopefully the wet weather we've had
in the North West will clear up and we'll be able to get the kids playing
outside for longer very soon.
Good toys for summer include sporting equipment - kids love playing football,
rounders, tennis and loads of other sports. If you've got loads of kids
on your street then get them playing rounders (With a foam ball) and you'll
see just how much fun they'll have - and its grat exercise too.
If you've got kids who love sport then treating them to some new sport
equipment is a great way to reward them for good behaviour too.
For younger kids you can get sandpits which they'll love - the sandbox
at nursery class is usually second only to the water play!
If there's a hosepipe ban in your area then you might want to avoid toys
which involce lots of water - you'll get fined if you're caught using
a hosepipe to fill a pool and its not worth the risk! Smaller containers
can be just as much fun for playing with water, or you can get the crazy
daisy water sprinkler - only for use where there is no hosepipe ban though
- this is a great toy for really hot days. Don't forget to use waterproof
sunscreen though!
Trampolines are also good fun for kids - they're available with safety
nets to stop kids falling off and hurting themselves too.
Whatever you treat your kids to this summer make sure they have stuff
to play with inside too incase the rain continues.
