To reduce the risk of tearing and the need for an episiotomy use this from the 34th week of your pregnancy.
Place thumb just inside the vagina press downward towards the rectum until a slight tingling sensation is felt. Breathe deeply and slowly whilst relaxing the muscles. Maintain pressure for 1 minute. gently massage vagina and perineum for 3 minutes. Relax and repeat once.
